I welcome the opportunity to act as the Director for Region E and would like to take this chance to introduce myself to the general membership. My thanks go out to the Southwestern Chapter and the area’s other chapters for their support in my seeking of this position.
Graduating from Sheridan College in 1992, I worked in the fields of engineering and construction management until becoming a Building Official in the small northern community of Sioux Lookout in 2000. While working in Sioux Lookout I acted as Vice Chair for the Sunset Chapter and I maintain my membership in this chapter to this date.
In 2003 I accepted the position of Chief Building Official in the Municipality of Central Elgin, where I joined the Southwestern Chapter and served as Chapter Chair for two years until accepting the position as regional Director.
I hope to provide a voice in the OBOA for small rural communities and the unique challenges we face while working toward promoting ourselves as professionals. I look forward to serving the association as the Chapter Chair Liaison over the next two years.
