Graduating from Sheridan College in 1992, I started work in the fields of engineering and construction management in Western Canada and North Western Ontario.
In 1999 I accepted the position of Chief Building Official in the small northern community of Sioux Lookout. While working in Sioux Lookout I acted as Vice Chair for the Sunset County Chapter until 2003.
In 2003 I accepted the position of Chief Building Official in the Municipality of Central Elgin, where I joined the South-Western Chapter and served as Chapter Chair for two years.
Elected to the OBOA Board of Directors in 2007 I took on the role of Chapter Chair Liaison and attended many provincial committees on behalf of the membership.
Moving to the City of Sarnia as the CBO in 2008 I continued to represent building officials at various levels of government.
With great pleasure I accepted the position of Vice President for the OBOA in 2009. It is my hope that with this appointment I can provide a voice in the OBOA for all members of our association small, northern, rural, or large. I am committed to providing input for all communities by addressing the unique challenges we face while working toward promoting ourselves as professionals.
