Presidents Dinner

Presidents Dinner
This prestigious event is held annually. Each full delegate registration includes 1 Dinner Ticket. The evening commences with the President’s Reception, followed by a mini reception. Evening dress is business attire. This event gives the OBOA President and committee an opportunity to recognize and congratulate people who have made contributions to OBOA and AMTS.

Charity Fundraiser

At this years 2016 AMTS in Ottawa we are very pleased to have the opportunity to support two deserving charities. Annually, the AMTS supports the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. The second charity selected by this years host committee is Youth Mental Health at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Ottawa and the Golden Triangle Chapter have been working hard to build events throughout the year, in addition to the AMTS, to contribute towards these causes.

Join us for the 2016 Ride for Mental Health. A motorcycle ride looping from Arnprior to Wilno being held Saturday, September 17th, 2016. Cost is $20 per bike. A buffet lunch will be available at the Wilno Tavern for an additional $17.99.

All proceeds will be split equally to The CHEO Mental Health Unit and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.

The 2016 AMTS is continuing the “Pink it up Campaign” please ensure you wear your best Pink on Wednesday!

AMTS Hotel

Delegates may also call our central reservations at 1-800-WESTIN-1 to make their personal arrangements, quoting either the group name (OBOA) or group code (RTJ01Q) to obtain the group rate.  The group rates will be available until 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, after which point any remaining group rooms remaining will be released into the hotel’s general inventory. Host Committee

Various organizations can offer to host an AMTS, an OBOA Chapter and/or a city, town, county, regional municipality, any other associated group of building officials.
The Committee may be made up of a number of any categories such as Entertainment, Golf, Sponsorship, Technical, Companion, Transportation or Charity and the representation of the Host Committee is through its Chair. Technical Sessions

Over the past several months, the Technical Committee has been hard at work creating a programme of sessions that will be diverse, educational, exciting and job relevant. To date almost all of the presentations are listed on the Technical Sessions calendar and presentation descriptions are available to view. We are currently working out the last few details for the remaining spaces. Thank you to everyone who will be presenting at our Technical Sessions as well as to all of those who have offered their services.
