Wow!!!! It’s 2010!!
Where has the time gone to? It seems like yesterday that
we were discussing the idea of hosting another AMTS at
Blue Mountain with the Simcoe County and Bluewater
Chapters. That was three years ago and now we only have
until the end of September to getter done!
Well not to worry. We are climbing that hill and soon will be
at the top. Blue Mountain Resorts and their Conference
Team have been more than helpful. During the past AMTS
in Deerhurst, a representative from Blue Mountain Resorts
was on hand to help promote the accommodations at
Blue. During her short stay, the Mosaic Lodge was fully
booked. Book prior to April 1 to get the reduced rate!!
For those of you who are taking part in the Sunday golf
tournament, you will not be disappointed. Four minute walk
from your room to the club house and you are there.
Monterra Golf Course is a phenomenal course. There will
be awards for the Men’s best team, Ladies best team and
a best Mixed team. Cost is set at $100 and includes golf,
cart, lunch and 3 challenges. There will be in extra
challenge that will be revealed prior to the start of the
tournament. Sign up early as the course is filling up fast.
Theme night is set. The entertainment committee has
secured Brian Roman as your entertainment for the
evening. Brian is heavily booked throughout Canada and
United States with his entertainment. Check out his web
site at www.brianroman.com . Elaine and I have seen
Brian perform in Collingwood and he works the crowd very
well. Rick Carefoot and his entertainment committee have
a surprise for entertainment prior to the Presidents Dinner.
Do not miss this amazing young group!
The Technical Committee has put a draft together for the
tech sessions. With the pressure on to conserve energy
and also the introducing of Green technology, some of the
sessions will hopefully have the answers you are looking
for. The committee is also working with JP Ferron and Tammy Constantino from MMAH to ensure that your
technical sessions meet and exceed your expectations.
If your chapter has not been approached by the
Sponsorship Committee yet to provide some form of
sponsorship, you will be contacted soon. Sponsorships are
what makes the AMTS succeed. With the economic
slowdown, the committee has to work very hard at
knocking on doors. Believe in your membership. Believe in
your association. Believe in the AMTS. Approach your
Chapter and rise to the challenge.
The 2010 AMTS Breast Cancer Committee is challenging
each chapter to raise funds for Breast Cancer prior to the
AMTS in Collingwood. The Chapter that raises the most
money will be seated at VIP tables during the Wednesday
Breast Cancer Luncheon. Get the ideas rolling and all rise
to this challenge.
Make sure you view the companions program Elaine has
tentatively set. All I can say is Elaine and the girls in the
committee want everyone in the program to relax and have
some fun during their stay at Blue Mountain. Sign up early
as there are limited spaces for this program.
As you can see we have been busy. We look forward to
making your AMTS at Blue Mountain an informative and
fun event. See you in October.
Please check out the web site for Blue Mountain Resorts and see what we are bragging about.

See you there!!
