On behalf of the 2010 AMTS committee, I would like to welcome you to join us at the 2010 AMTS being held at Blue Mountain Resorts. Blue Mountain Resorts is located in the Town of The Blue Mountains just west of Collingwood.  I have been in Collingwood my entire life and I know I take our surrounding area for granted.  We have amazing Georgian Bay to the north and the world’s longest fresh water beach to the east.  We also have the best summer/ winter resort in Ontario, Blue Mountain Resorts.  For those of you who enjoy a resort atmosphere, this is a destination not to be missed. Blue Mountain Resorts have continued to expand over the last five years.  If you have not been back to Blue since the AMTS was held here in 2003, you will pleasantly surprised by the growth.
The host committee has committed to making the 2010 AMTS very informative with technical sessions being put together by Ron Martin and his team.  As the industry is constantly changing,   there are more emphases on energy conservation.  Therefore we will be greening things up in the tech sessions. The Sunday Golf has been confirmed at Monterra which is located at Blue Mountain Resorts.  Monterra was designed as a championship course so you will need your “A” game!!  Sign up early as we are expecting to fill this course up.

Rick Carefoot and his committee are very busy trying to find just the right entertainment for Theme night. There are lots of ideas coming out of the woodwork so I know you will not be disappointed.

Kelly Smith is chairing the Breast Cancer Charity committee.  Mike Seiling has offered to help Kelly and her team raise awareness of this terrible disease.  With your help, we can make a difference.

My beautiful wife Elaine is heading up the companions program.  With her team they are investigating many possibilities to ensure our better halves have a great time. Watch for a program update in the next journal.

Finally, we look forward to being your hosts next year and we ask that you book early so that you are not disappointed.  As I mentioned at the Presidents Dinner in Huntsville, come and experience what it is like to work where you play.

Please check out the web site for Blue Mountain Resorts and see what we are bragging about.
