Two months have slipped by since my last report and a lot has happened since then. We have relocated our Building Department office to a new location and with all the packing/unpacking; it cut into our time quite a bit. I also had to go to Myrtle Beach with 15 guys to golf. That was a tough week!!
On a more serious note, the AMTS committee has being working hard to succeed at our goal of making this conference one for the books. Sponsorships started off slow due to economic times but the committee has not stopped knocking on doors. Funds are slowly coming in. A chapter Challenge for sponsorships was issued to all Chapter Chairs in April at the Board meeting. I hope that all the Chapters take part in this. Speaking on challenges, the Breast Cancer Charity committee has come up with a few challenges to get everyone involved. The Chapter which raises the most money for Breast Cancer prior to the AMTS will have reserved seating at the Breast Cancer Lunch. I have also heard that there could be some guys with pink hair if the members want to pay up to see that! Ron Kolbe would look better with pink hair than I would.
Brian Roman is your entertainment for Monday night. Brian travels all around North America performing his act that is sure to entertain you. Wherever he performs, large enthusiastic audiences find themselves captivated by his charismatic stage presence, accomplished baritone/tenor voice, personal warmth, sincerity and generosity of spirit.
Monterra Golf Course was designed in 1989 by Tom McBroom. Monterra has proven to be a formidable challenge for golfers from North America and abroad. Monterra features rolling bent grass fairways, razorback mounding and 86 bunkers, as well as ravines, creeks, seven lakes, and some spectacular elevated tee shots. You will not be disappointed.
The technical sessions have been set and may still need some tweaking as we get closer to the October date. The technical sessions printed are tentative and could possibly change. We want to make sure that all the sessions will peak your interest.
The new conference facilities at Blue Mountain Resorts are spectacular and will serve your needs like never before. The Village has grown and offer more restaurants, bars and shops than we had in 2003. The accommodations in the Village will have you sitting in the centre of the resorts with everything within a four minute walk. We look forward to being your host this October and are committed to make your time with us an informative and enjoyable time.

NOTE: AMTS Chair Bill Plewes makes the following statement: “I have also heard that there could be some guys with pink hair if the members want to pay up to see that! Ron Kolbe would look better with pink hair than I would.” I would like to refute that statement and add that both Don Tedford and Bill Plewes would look better with pink hair than I would. You can see it in their eyes. At the 2010 AMTS Exhibitor show visit the Breast Cancer booth manned by Kelly Smith and/or Sherri Moore. There will be three jars with three individuals photos on the outside with “pink” hair. A prelude to the Wednesday lunch depending on which individual’s jar has the most money. So I urge you… put your money on Bill Plewes and/or Don Tedford to go PINK! |
