The Ontario Building Officials Association reimburses Board members for reasonable expenses incurred to attend the seven meetings each year, which are held at selected locations. However, all work and time is donated by the Board members and the municipality they are employed with. Each director serves for a two year period and may be assigned to chair at least one or more of the many committees that help the OBOA meet its objectives. Any government member in good standing is eligible to run for the office of Director. Other restrictions apply for the position of President. All nomination forms must be accompanied by the nominee’s Curriculum Vitae stating the objectives for seeking office and a letter confirming municipal support for holding office, if elected, from the nominee’s Clerk, Senior Administrator or Council. |
