Welcome to the Ontario Building Officials Association
OBOA Nominations

The Ontario Building Officials Association  reimburses Board members for reasonable expenses incurred to attend the seven meetings each year, which are held at selected locations.  However, all work and time is donated by the Board members and the municipality they are employed with. Each director serves for a two year period and may be assigned to chair at least one or more of the many committees that help the OBOA meet its objectives.  Any government member in good standing is eligible to run for the office of Director.  Other restrictions apply for the position of President.

All nomination forms must be accompanied by the nominee’s Curriculum Vitae stating  the objectives for seeking office and a letter confirming municipal support for holding office, if elected, from the nominee’s  Clerk, Senior Administrator or Council.

Nomination Form

Nominations for the positions of Director shall come from the chapters in these regions or from individuals through these chapters.  It is the responsibility of the chapters within these respective regions to name the nominees, one of whom will be elected director representing the entire region.   Please complete a nomination form, attach the required information and forward it to your local chapter executive.  The chapter will then forward all nominations to the Nominating Committee Chair at 200 Marycroft Avenue, Unit 8, Woodbridge ON  L4L 5X4.
