Dear RESCON members,
Several organizations have been involved recently in initiatives such as streamlining the building approvals process, moving towards e-permitting platforms, evaluating a Building Information Modelling (BIM) mandate for the province, and improving efficiencies at municipalities through technological advancements.
These groups include:
- University of Toronto
- Residential Construction Council of Ontario (RESCON)
- Toronto BIM Community (tBIMc)
- Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA)
- Large Municipalities Chief Building Officials (LMCBO)
- Conservation Authorities
- the Government of Ontario
On June 18th starting at 5 p.m., the University of Toronto is hosting ‘BIM+‘, which promises to be a thought-provoking event with attendees from wide-ranging sectors of the building industry.
Food will be served from 5-6 p.m. Attendees can interact with U of T graduate students during the poster session to learn about their innovative research.
Starting at 6 p.m., the conference will begin which includes several short presentations, followed by an expert panel discussion. The 2nd annual BIM survey, with about 400 respondents nationwide, will also be released at this event.
Since space is limited, attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible at this link.
