August 10, 2022, Vaughan, Ont. – The OBOA is pleased to announce that Lynn Balfour has been appointed the Interim CAO of the OBOA, effective August 15, 2022.

“I’m excited to work with the OBOA Board of Directors and staff to continue to move the association forward to new opportunities as we transition through the impacts of the pandemic challenges of the past two years,” says Lynn.

“We are confident that with Lynn’s experience in all facets of what we do and who we are as an association that she will flourish in this role and continue to promote and lead our association in the coming months,” OBOA President, Joyanne Beckett says.

Lynn brings more than 35 years of experience in the building industry with the majority of that time as a building official, including seven years as the Chief Building Official for the County of Brant. Since 2016, she has overseen the creation and maintenance of technical training content to support member programs in her role as the OBOA Director of Education Development.

Lynn will work directly with the OBOA Board of Directors in this interim role. She will also oversee management of four staff members and operations of the organization until the search for a permanent replacement is successful.

Please join us in congratulating Lynn on this exciting change.

Lynn replaces Aubrey LeBlanc who was the previous CAO for ten years. We wish Aubrey the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his years of service to the OBOA and the Ontario building industry.
