The OBOA leadership is very pleased to announce that we have added a second training room to our 200 Marycroft Ave. location in Vaughan, via the leasing of unit 6. This acquisition means that unit 8 remains the administrative office, and units 7 and 6 are training venues. Unit 6 will also provide meeting and storage space in addition to the main training room. Spillover training in Vaughan hotels will be reduced.
We have been looking for a conveniently located extra space for some time, to rent, lease or buy. The steady growth of the training program and our strategic alliance with George Brown and other colleges have driven this decision. We are renovating the space with a combination of friendly contractor, partner and member support to manage the costs of these tenant improvements, to fit within the business case for the lease. We notified the City of Vaughan Building Department of our intent to lease and apply for a building permit, as part of our due diligence.
Ever ambitious, we are hoping to have the unit serviceable for the fall classes that begin on September 10. We look forward to welcoming you to the new OBOA space.
