Quebec Association of Building Inspectors (AIBQ)
Established in the early 90’s, AIBQ is a non profit organization which regroups the largest number of building inspectors in Quebec. Residential building inspection is a unique discipline, distinct from construction, engineering, architecture or municipal building inspection and requires special training.
The Canadian Association of Home Inspectors (CAHI) became an affiliation of the American Society of Home Inspectors in 1987. In Quebec, the Quebec Association of Building Inspectors (AIBQ) has been a working member of the Canadian Association of Home Inspectors since its beginnings.
