We’re excited to share a fantastic benefit for OBOA government and associate members! Upon renewing your membership, you’ll will have an option to receive 1 FREE NFPA Link license (1 per municipality) or (1 per associate member firm). You will also have the option to purchase licenses for your municipality or company at a discounted price if you have already received 1 free license for your organization.  Access to NFPA standards will provide you with additional tools and resources to enhance your professional development. For municipalities and associate member companies interested in additional licenses, you can purchase extra NFPA Link subscriptions at a discounted price of just $105 (plus tax) per year—that is less than $10 a month! This allows your entire team to stay connected and informed.  Please note that the complimentary NFPA Link licenses are available exclusively to municipalities and associate members. However, lifetime, retired, and student members can still benefit from the discounted rate if they choose to purchase a subscription.   


How to Claim Your NFPA Link Access: 

Add your NFPA Link Access With Your Membership Renewal:  OBOA Membership renewals will be distributed in November 2024. Upon renewal of your membership, you can add either a complimentary license and/or purchase additional licenses during the membership renewal process.     


For municipalities:  Free licenses will be allocated in the order received unless otherwise indicated by the municipality.  


Access to NFPA Link will begin January 1, 2025 and is valid until December 31, 2025.

The OBOA also reserves the right to deny providing free licenses where it deems necessary or when the NFPA agreement restricts it.


The complimentary NFPA Link (individual license) is meant for a single user and is not intended to be shared. 

 

To receive your complimentary license to NFPA Link for your municipality or company you must provide both an individual’s name and their work email address. Licenses will not be provided without a member name and valid email address. Licenses and access will only be provided to that individual. 

 

Please note: Additional individual licenses can be purchased at a discounted rate.
