Effective December 2, 2024 for Online Exams Administered by Humber College
Beginning December 2, 2024, Humber College is making changes to the virtual proctoring examination process for Ontario Building Code Examinations. Humber College is making the Proctortrack application a mandatory feature for virtual examinations. Humber is implementing this new process in order to protect access to all of its exams, reduce academic misconduct and, in the case of BCIN exams, to preserve public safety.
The following requirement changes will come into effect on December 2nd, 2024:
A smart phone is required to operate as a second camera for the full duration of an examination
A Proctortrack Mobile App must be installed on the smart phone and a Proctortrack application must be installed on your computer or laptop
Further system requirements and information can be found on the Humber College Building Code Exams webpage.
It is important to note that while most candidates will not require administrator rights to install the application, you may need to check with your IT department to perform the install. Candidates will have an extended period of time to install the software (from signing up for an exam until the examination date). In addition, users will be provided Onboarding on the new system so they can resolve any issues and get to know the application prior to the exam date, at a time that is convenient to them – they can contact Proctortrack/Humber if they need assistance. This feature is mandatory for many different exams administered by Humber and not just BCIN Building Code exams.
