The OBOA Welcomes New Board Members
Jan. 28, 2021, Vaughan, Ont. – The Ontario Building Officials Association is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the OBOA Board of Directors. Carl Kolbe, Manager of Building Services and Deputy Chief Building Official for the City of Pickering assumes the role of Director, Region F, and Terry Kuipers, Chief Building Official for the Town of Minto takes on the role as Director at large.
“I’m looking forward to being part of an organization that supported not only my career growth and development, but the careers of my most trusted colleagues,” says Kolbe. “Having been in this industry for over 15 years, I am confident that I can draw on my experience to support OBOA members as the building industry transitions to a post-COVID era.”
“As part of the OBOA Board of Directors, I am really looking forward to serving the membership and facing the challenges that will come along with it,” says Kuipers.
The OBOA Board of Directors meet six times per year to discuss strategies, partnerships and decisions that will support the building industry in Ontario.
“Both Carl and Terry bring practical skills and valuable insight to our team,” says Grant Brouwer, OBOA President. “There is so much change in the industry right now and we have a lot of work to do in supporting the building industry. We look forward to working with these new Directors as we move forward into a new year.”
